CAT Science Park (Forskerparken CAT) is a privately held company, helping entrepreneurs and innovators to find the capital and the right competences required for turning ideas into enterprises.

CAT Science Park is a unique combination of government-backed pre-seed capital, science park and venture company. We are capable of functioning both as host and mentor for your good idea. All the way – from the first tentative steps to a viable enterprise.

Our highly educated investment team has many years of experience in evaluating the market potential of the multitude of ideas presented to us. Thus our investment managers can help you acquire the necessary competences when starting up your enterprise.

In addition to our own funds in CAT Seed, CAT Science Park manages venture capital on behalf of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (Forsknings- og Innovationsstyrelsen) and from CAT Invest I A/S. We also attract capital from private investors.

In the period from 1998 to late 2009, 85 companies have been established by us. In that same period of time, DKK 725 million have been invested in our portfolio companies. Capital raised through the government-backed pre-seed capital scheme accounts for DKK 120 million.

Because of our background and our central location in Roskilde, we maintain close relations with research environments, educational institutions, and enterprises in the entire metropolitan area. We also deem it natural to make a special effort to track down whatever good ideas there may be in Region Zealand. In this case, the focus is on new research results offering a market potential – in particular ideas already fostered by existing companies in that region.
